Legion Transmog - Armor Proficiency

A recent tweet from the Devs stated that in order to unlock an appearance there are three rules that must be met:

1) The item must be bound to you,
2) You must be able to equip the item, and
3) The armor type must be specific to your class.

This means that Warriors won't be the perfect xmog farmers. While right now they can equip all the armor types, when Legion comes out they will only be able to equip plate starting from level 1.

That would have been awesome, since my Warrior just sits in her garrison doing nothing, but I'm ok with it - I love love love farming xmog. Yep, I'm weird - I'm surprised you didn't already know that.

BUT I have a few concerns.

An example is the Scarlet Mail set that I have on two toons; a hunter and a paladin.  When Legion hits, this mail set will turn into plate. Sadly, I am missing the boots on the paladin so this means that I won't have unlocked the boots since the hunter won't be able to equip it after Legion.

  • I wonder what would happen if I equip it before Legion hits and leave it on her.. will it be "learned"??
  • Maybe we can talk Blizz into make the boots BOE again so I can move them to the paladin?? They are no longer available in game, and as far as I can see there are no look-alike versions.
  • Do you think that Blizz will/could grandfather anything soulbound to the toons on the day that Legion hits? That would be nice for my RP toons who have some cute cloth armor that is no longer available in the game, but are on mail/plate toons.

Legion Transmog - Flames of Ragnaros

The Flames of Ragnaros that I got ON MY HUNTER WHO CAN'T USE IT during the anniversary event will become account will become account wide xmog in Legion.

Yay!

Barlafumble

I'm liking this look. I'd love for some slim glove version tho. I've been buying the more "fun" belts with Conquest and Honor points.

Shoulders: Mistshroud Shoulders
Chest: Ro'shak's Molten Chain
Waist: Wild Gladiator's Waistguard of Cruelty
Legs: Conduit-Breaker Chain Leggings
Feet: Tsunami Boots
Gloves: Yaungol Slayer's Gloves

Barlaroo AKA Be Pickier When Choosing Starter Zone Rewards!!

When questing on Bloodmyst Isle with my banker alt, a Shaman, I chose the mail quest rewards even though she couldn't wear them until she dinged 40. She was in heirlooms, anyway, and I wouldn't be using most of the rewards, so saving them for future transmog seemed like a good idea. I haven't checked out the other starter zones yet, but I did know from leveling quite a few Draenei that there were some unique looks in their starter zones. This is a nice unique Mail set and you don't see this often as most people who choose mail that early-on switch to plate later and don't keep it.

Last weekend, I was being anti-social in the guild (I just needed some ME time) and decided to just farm some old dungeons and drag Barlaroo along and get her to 40.

I do miss her usual banker outfit, but I like her new look!

Not bad for starter zone items, no?

Shoulders: Haunted Pauldrons
Chest: Tunic of the Dragon Slayer
Waist: Warpwood Binding
Legs: Heavy Chain Leggings
Gloves: Protective Field Gloves
Main Hand: Old Elekk Prod
Off Hand: Wheel of the Lost Hope

Wowhead Link.

Ok, so the Shoulders aren't from Bloodmyst, and there are BOE versions, but the tiny quest line in the wetlands was worth doing for them. They're the best match I have found so far.

Rogue/Leather Work in Progress.. any ideas?

I started working on this mog for my Rogue. I'm not really happy with the shoulders/boots/gloves. (And why do the NE's have to have such huge calves, anyway!? WTB more slim boot models!) Again, sorry for the Wowhead profile picture.

I guess I DO like the shoulders, just not sure if there is something better out there...

Shoulders: Lightdrinker Shoulders
Chest: Chestpiece of Suspicion
Waist: Whitesea's Waistwrap
Legs: Leggings of Fleeting Moments
Feet: Sure-Step Boots
Gloves: Bonefingers
Main Hand: Rovo's Dagger
Off Hand: Lightdrinker Shiv

Frost Mage

Roowen's current Frost Mage transmog! I usually don't use Wowhead for my images, but I'm not able to log into the game for screenies at the moment. This is taken from Roo's current Wowhead profile.

I think it looks frosty!

Shoulders: Felcast Mantle of the Harmonious
Chest: Fur Covered Robe
Waist: Girdle of Nobility
Legs: Felcast Trousers of the Deft
Feet: Felcast Sandals of the Fireflash
Gloves: Mountainsage Handwraps
Main Hand: Baleful Spire of the Relentless

This makes me wish I had a male NE hunter friend..

I was browsing forums this morning and saw this mog.. it's almost perfect. I try to keep Barla looking hunterish, but this hunter look wins for real!

Meet Thrustidon of Decipher on Frostmane. I don't know him/her, never met him/her, but I love how he/she thinks!!

Shoulders: Willow Spaulders
Chest: Marauder's Tunic
Gloves: Cragfists
Waist: Cormorant Waistband
Legs: Giantstalkers Leggings
Feet: Tsunami Boots
Weapon: Stoneshatter

This is what Wowhead shows it would look like on a female Draenei:

Stoneshatter is one of my favorite transmog crossbows - especially when she's mogged into something big and scary with a teeny tiny weapon.. I dunno.. I enjoy irony.

The only thing I'd want to change would be the gloves, but otherwise.. that's a fantastic NE hunter look!

Cloth transmog

I'm always looking for new transmog ideas so when I recently came across an extra Foreman's Vest, I decided to mog it instead of AH/vendor (I get tired of re-listing things).

Other than the vest, the rest should be fairly easy (cheap) to get. The gloves and shoulders are quest rewards with very common BOE look-alike versions - Anchorite Regalia (Recolor).

Shoulder: Orunai Shoulderpads
Chest: Foreman Vest
Hands: Gordunni Handwraps
Waist: Gossamer Belt
Legs: Bright Pants

Wowhead item comparison.

Briskette

I think Briskette was my original Barlafumble from years ago. So many realm/faction kind of got her lost somewhere along the line, but she's still alive and kicking on Llane (Horde) in Barla's sister guild, Solstice.

It's pretty lonely there, but sometimes that's just want I want so I head on over and quest a bit.

Here's Briskette today at level 72.
I love this mail set!
Shoulders: Lo'ap's Muck Diving Pads
Chest: Oversized Ogre Hauberk
Waist: Cord of the Ring
Legs: Warcaster's Scaled Leggings
Feet: Venn'ren's Boots
Gloves: Sha'tari Marksman's Gloves
